I’m Lina, a proud mother, passionate traveler, enthusiastic cook, and a devoted gardener from Geelong, just an hour’s drive from Melbourne.
Travel has always been a vital part of my life.
From the early days of introducing my children, Richard and Rebecca, to the wonders of the world at a tender age, to the current adventures that I embark on, travel has been a constant source of learning and joy. My journeys have taken me to hidden corners of the globe, where I’ve savored the rich tapestry of flavors and traditions that each place offers. These experiences have not only enriched my life but have also inspired my work, including my latest book, “Wandering through Japan: A Traveler’s Diary.”
In the kitchen, my philosophy is simple – good food brings people together.
As a mother, I have always believed in the power of a home-cooked meal to nurture and unite my family. My cooking is a tribute to the fresh produce from my garden, where I spend countless peaceful hours cultivating a variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs. This garden-to-table approach is more than a practice; it’s a way of life that I cherish and am eager to share with you.
Gardening, for me, is not just about growing plants; it’s about growing connections – with nature, with my family, and with myself.
It’s a journey of patience and care, yielding rewards far beyond the harvest. The garden is my sanctuary, a place where I find peace and inspiration, especially for my writing projects like the upcoming book on my son’s journey as a young farmer.

On this website, you’ll find a collection of stories, tips, and insights from my travels, kitchen, and garden.
I hope to inspire you to explore the unknown, whether it’s through travel, cooking, or planting a seed in your backyard. Join me on this adventure as we discover the beauty of the world, one experience at a time.
Welcome, and happy exploring!
